2022 Furthermore Wines Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 750 ml

Ross Cobb is a Pinot savant with a golden CV. 

An alum of Williams Selyem and Flowers, he learned his love of Pinot Noir from Littorai’s Ted Lemon and Cristom’s Steve Doerner. And for our money, his 2022 Furthermore Pinot is one of the great under-the radar bottles from the Pinot Noir mecca of Russian River. 

Stylistically based in the Old World, Ross favors lithe Pinots that show the kind of elegance and fine-boned grace exemplified by this release.

Furthermore Wines was founded in 2006 by Chad Richard and Bob Zeches, two friends with a massive shared passion for Pinot Noir. They met while working in Silicon Valley and, after bonding over their love of wine, decided to pursue their dream of creating their own wine label, focusing on high-quality Pinot from California's top vineyards.

They chose "Furthermore" to reflect their philosophy of continuous exploration and improvement in winemaking. Rather than owning vineyards, Richard and Zeches opted to showcase grapes from various renowned vineyards throughout California.

Furthermore’s 2022 Russian River Pinot shows a captivating nose of fresh red cherries, raspberries, and a hint of spiced cranberry, elegantly layered with delicate rose petals, forest floor, and warm baking spices. The palate is a graceful interplay of ripe red fruit and savory undertones, with flavors of wild strawberry, orange peel, and subtle earthy notes. The texture is silky and refined, with fine-grained tannins and a vibrant acidity.
